Good Faith Mark

The badge

Every listed program may display the badge, at any verification tier, at no cost. It says “Featured on Good Faith Mark” and links to the program's own record.

It makes no claim about the product itself. What the record says is on the record, and the record is public.

What the check looks for

A crawler reads your page twice a day and records what it found. That record is what the listing page states, so it is worth knowing exactly what counts.

It must be in the HTML your server sends
We read the page and run no JavaScript. A badge injected by a script or a tag manager will not be found — and would carry almost no weight for you either, which is the reason to care.
It must be a plain link
A rel of nofollow, sponsored or ugc passes no weight. We record that as its own outcome rather than as a pass: you get a followed link from us, and that only works both ways.
It must point at your listing
Not at our homepage. The link above already has your address in it.
It must be on the address you registered
That is the one page we read. A footer works, because a footer is on it.
